She took from him her elegance and her movement.
Anna was the pick of the litter and from the time we first saw her at 6 weeks
old,
we knew that she had all what it took to become the champion that she is.
She proved it to us at her first show,
when she went Best Junior Puppy Bitch
at the New Jersey Boxer Club Annual Match Show at about 4 months old.
This is where Kim and her family fell in love with Anna.
No one knows Anna better than her mom
Kim,
and this is why we let her told the story of Anna in her own words:
"Anna
made her way into the heart and soul of our family
from the time we first saw her.
We were very fortunate to have her for our first show dog.
There she was, in her 1st match show, at the tender age of 4 months,
winning Best Junior Puppy Bitch, handled by Lucie Lecomte.
We had no idea what a wonderful journey lay ahead.
On that day we were twice blessed,
first by meeting Lucie Lecomte, Nicole Haineault and Geri McLaughlin.
Each has provided much needed advice and guidance along the way,
and secondly by them trusting us with this precious girl.
Anna began her show career winning her 1st point from the 6-9 puppy class,
won Best of Breed Puppy, and placed in the Puppy Working Group.
This was only her 2nd weekend of showing.
Anna then went on to win both her majors in one weekend
at the Bay Colony Cluster Boxer Specialty’s in Boston.
You better believe I smiled all the way home,
holding her two Best of Winners plaques from the American Boxer Club.
While Anna is a natural in the show ring, she is a family member first.
At home playing in the yard, she prances around, as if saying 'I am a Princess'.
She is loving, loyal, and elegant.
She knows she is special,
and loves, OK maybe she demands, to be the center of attention.
Tearing up any paper in sight has become a passion,
and when I scold her, she puts her head down and looks up at me
as if to say 'I’m sorry but I will do it again as soon as you’re not looking'.
When I have a tough day at work, she is always there waiting at the door,
wagging her tail ready to share many Boxer kisses,
just to say “Welcome home”.
When you look into her eyes, she looks back with complete love.
She makes your heart melt and sets your soul afire."
Anna, without even knowing it, has been
at the center of the beginning of a great friendship.
These Boxers can do miracle, and Anna is true to her roots.
“You come home. The dog throws itself at you.
‘Where have you been? You’ve been so long.
I missed you, missed you, missed you.
I love you, love you, love you.
What’s in that bag? Something for me?
Oh, let me lick your ear.
Oh, let me chew your glove.
You’re home.’ ”
