Nobody can resist the charming attitude
of Maxie.
She has a way of looking at you,
begging you to pay attention to her
or to pet her.
When the power of her eyes fails
because you are looking in another direction,
she does not give up, no matter what.

She then passes to Plan #2, which is infallible.
She will get closer to you 
and gently scratch you on the knee or thigh,
with the tip of her paw,
until she gets what she wants.
She made many new friends, at dog shows, by acting that way.

Maxie now lives the life
of a single spoiled kid of a new family.

Once in a while she comes for a visit
and is always happy to see us,
but is always ready to go
when our friend get ready to leave.
