Tricks made us so proud

Co-owned with Nancy & Winfield Wood
From
the day of her birth, Tricks has always been special.
She was a little fawn bundle of fur born out of two brindles.
Moreover, she had pedigree, type and the attitude to win.
Tricks really kicked up dust when she was shown in Canada.
She
completed her Canadian championship in four shows in a row, even taking Best of breed over
specials from the Junior Puppy class.
At her second show in USA, she got a 3-points major, after having been pulled
out from the ring for almost two years. Six shows later, she took Best of Breed over 5 specials.
Tricks made us dream of a higher goal for her -- to be one of the Top Twenty
Boxers in the Nation. Once again,
she showed us that she could do better than expected by finishing in the Top
Ten, both in the Breed and All-Breed Totals for 2002.
She is a multiple winner of Best of Breed, Best in Specialty Shows, Group
placements and wins in the Working Group.
And
just to remind us that she was a special girl, Tricks kicked up the dust at the
Penobscot Valley Kennel Club show, in Maine, in October 2002, when she was
awarded Best in Show by respected judge Joe Gregory.
All this would have been
impossible without the trust showed by Dr. James and Priscilla Kilman, who gave
us the opportunity to own one of Leo's sons, Am. & Can. Ch. Heart Acres Back
to Basics who sired Tricks.
But most of all, Tricks is all Boxer, with great love
for her humans and for the people she meets -- loving to cuddle, hug and kiss.
But when the weekend comes she let us clearly know that it is show time
and that she will not be the one staying home. Tricks has a very sweet personality
and has a way to charm
everybody.
Tricks
has been successfully tested for heart.
“We
long for an affection altogether ignorant of our faults.
Heaven has accorded this to us
in the uncritical canine attachment”
-- George Eliot
